Mr and Mrs L Wrightson of Pickhill Garth, Aire Street, Knottingley, have received word that their son Private Arthur Wrightson of the York and Lancashire Regiment was wounded in Sicily on 20th July. He has nearly four years’ service, over a year of which has been spent abroad and he has been in India, South Africa, Persia and Iraq.”
