“Mr E Archdale, of Poplar Villas, Halfpenny Lane, Pontefract, who a short time ago lost his eldest son, Gunner H Archdale of the R.F.A., killed in action, has now lost his youngest son, Private E Archdale (20) of the R.A.M.C., who has been killed whilst on duty in a hospital which was bombed by the enemy. The deceased soldier had had narrow escapes and been wounded earlier”.
