“CORPORAL P GILLIAN
Corporal P Gillian of the Royal Engineers who as reported in “The Express” a fortnight ago, has received the BEM. Corporal Gillian is the eldest son of Mr and Mrs J D Gillian of Low Green, Knottingley and his wife (formerly Miss D Gott) lives at 2, Primrose Hill, Knottingley. Although he was on leave a month ago, he did not mention the honour. His father-in-law Mr G Gott won the MM in the last war.”
