Percy Rhodes served in the 1st Battalion Lincolnshire Regiment. He died on 5th April 1943 and is commemorated on the Rangoon Memorial.

Family Life

Percy Rhodes was born on 7th April 1915 and was baptised on 7th May 1915 at St Botolph’s Church, Knottingley. He was the son of Edmund Ernest Rhodes, a Clerk and Annie Eliza (nee Pollard) who had married in the first quarter of 1908 and their marriage was registered at Pontefract.
In the first quarter of 1924 Annie Eliza Rhodes married John Gannon and this was also registered at Pontefract.
