Walton Colliery, 1900-1920

A slide of a black and white photograph of the brickworks that became part of Walton Colliery complex, often referred to as Sharlston West Colliery, which used the shale to make brick.  The National Coal Board closed the colliery in December 1979.  The viaduct can be seen in the background.  Internal Reference: WR Box W number 35
