Wakefield's old market hall and stalls on Teall Street and the Springs, 1953

A black and white photograph from the Wakefield City Engineers Collection showing new shop buildings on the corner of Teall Street and the Springs, Wakefield, in September 1953.  This was the last day that the market hall and stalls were in this location.  The market hall was later replaced by a new building.  Greenwood Menswear is on Westmoreland Street on the far left corner.  Wakefield Gas Works is to the right and Eastmoor and Stanley can be seen in the background.  Internal Reference: WYAS WND (B208)
