Family Life
Joseph was born in 1888 in Pontefract to parents Dominic and Anne McNeil nee Mc Hale. Dominic’s parents were Dominic and Maria Anna. Anne’s parents were Edward and Anne McHale nee Filbin.
His siblings were Anne, Beatrice, John, Elizabeth (who married John Flemming), William and Dominic. In the 1901 census the family were living in Finkle Street, Pontefract and in the census for 1911 they were in Back Northgate, Pontefract.
