Heritage Hub

Discover Wakefield district’s heritage and connect with the community

Welcome to the Wakefield District Heritage Hub, your gateway to the people, places and stories that make our district’s shared heritage so special.

Explore the Heritage Framework, which sets out Wakefield Council's vision and priorities for heritage across the district. Get involved by joining the free Heritage Network, discovering local groups through the Heritage Directory, and finding activities in the Events Calendar.

Whether you're a volunteer, community group or heritage enthusiast, you'll find free resources, guidance and support to help develop local heritage projects and celebrate our shared stories

The Heritage Hub is supported by The National Lottery Heritage Fund through the Our Heritage, Our Stories programme. Visit the project section to learn more about its impact and how it is helping communities explore, preserve and share their local heritage.
